Britify Fix Biz is operated by BRIT FIX SERVICE & GENERAL MAINTENANCE LTD (company number 15464409), registered in England and Wales. This notice explains how we handle personal information relating to service providers, companies, their representatives and the Britify Fix Biz service. Contact: support@britifyfix.co.uk.
We collect business and contact details, names, email addresses, phone numbers, business registration information, service categories, service areas, account credentials and identifiers, quotes, accepted bookings, customer communications, complaints, reviews, transaction and commission records, and payout/bank account information where needed.
We may request passports, national identity cards, driving licences or business certificates for identity and business verification. We may also process job completion photographs and other content providers upload. Technical data such as IP addresses, device and security logs may be processed where actually collected.
We use information to register and verify providers; make relevant jobs available; enable quotations, bookings and customer contact after acceptance; administer Stripe payments, direct-payment records, payouts and agreed commissions; investigate complaints; prevent fraud; secure the service; comply with legal duties; and send necessary account and booking communications.
Before acceptance, providers normally see the job description and general area, not the customer’s full address or direct contact details. After a customer accepts a quotation, the selected provider receives information reasonably needed to perform the job. Providers must use customer information only for legitimate service purposes and comply with their own data protection obligations.
Identity documents submitted for verification are reviewed manually by authorised Britify Fix administrators and document images are deleted after verification under our deletion procedures. Limited verification outcomes may be retained where lawful and necessary. Identity documents are not used for marketing. Actual deletion practices, including backups, must be confirmed before publication.
Where Stripe is used, relevant payment and payout information is handled by Stripe. We may receive transaction amounts, references, status, refunds and payout information. Direct payments are handled between the customer and provider where that option is available. Commission rates are based on individual provider agreements rather than a universal fixed rate.
Our lawful bases, as applicable, include performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests in platform operation, security and fraud prevention, and consent where required, such as for certain marketing.
Information may be shared with the relevant customer after a booking is accepted, Stripe, hosting and technical service providers, professional advisers, and public authorities where legally required or permitted. We do not sell personal data to advertisers.
We retain account, job, payment and complaint records for as long as reasonably necessary for operations, disputes and legal obligations. We apply reasonable access controls and security measures. Account deletion requests may be subject to lawful retention requirements.
Promotional email and SMS communications are optional where consent is required. Consent is requested separately from agreeing to platform terms, can be declined without preventing registration solely for that reason, and can be withdrawn through available opt-out options or by emailing support@britifyfix.co.uk. Essential service messages may still be sent.
We may process selected service-area and address information to provide the service. Any device GPS, analytics SDKs, identifiers or cookies used must be confirmed against the deployed apps and website. Where data is transferred internationally, appropriate UK data protection safeguards will be used where required.
Subject to applicable UK law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing, and withdraw consent where relevant. You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). Contact support@britifyfix.co.uk.
The service is intended for users aged 18 or over. We may update this notice and will provide legally required notification of material changes.
